Three 3G Phones History
Three pioneered the 3G technology in Australia. In April 2003, Hutchison Telecoms launched 3 (Three), Australia's first 3G supplier. Since it was launched, 3's network coverage spread in Australia's metropolitan areas that include Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide and the Gold Coast. It later extended to Canberra in 2005 and in many major regional centres in 2006.
The 3G technology of 3 provides greater network coverage and more advanced mobile applications. Planet 3
Using your Three 3G phones, you can access Planet 3, which allows you to get news, sports reports, music and games, and mobile TV. You can also check your emails, send instant message to your friends, and watch movie trailers using your Three 3G phones.
With 3 Lite, you can get the latest news, weather updates, tones, games, sports and Astrolife using your Three 3G phones. With 3's Mobile TV, you can watch your favourite TV shows on real-time right on your Three 3G phones. 3's Explorer Packs allow you to choose different packages which you can enjoy using your Three 3G phones for your entertainment and pleasure.
3 X-Series
Three 3G phones may be used to obtain 3's mobile broadband called 3 X-Series. With your Three 3G phones, you can place calls, send text messages and access the Internet. The 3 X-Series also allows you to watch television on your Three 3G phones. You can also send and receive on your Three 3G phones instant messaging through major online instant messaging providers.
